About Me

          I was born and raised in Washington, NC. Growing up, I always knew that I would find my place in this world. For a long time, I was uncertain on the career path that I wanted to pursue. Even though I wasn't sure of my calling, I knew that it would involve providing great services to my community and others. I have always been a people person.

          It wasn't until August of 2023, when it was brought to my attention that the community college where I reside, had just opened up a barber school. Something in me said " this is for you". Stepping out on faith, I decided to sign up for the program. The program required 1,528 hours for completion. Through strong-will and determination, I completed all 1,528 hours on October 16, 2024. Mr. Trey Mason, of Trey's Barber Shop, located in Washington, NC., was generous enough to bless me with an opportunity to begin my career as a barber, by gracing me with a chair in his shop. 

          I am also well-known around my community for my expertise, when it comes to grilling. That is also a passion of mine. The food is guaranteed to be great and flavorful. Whether it's 5 people or 500 people, you can come see me!!!

          Coach Swagg or Coach Mike, is another name that I go by. I love working with the youth in the community. From football, basketball, and many other events; if I'm able to assist, I'm there. The youth are our future!!
